School Time!!!

Tuesday morning Grace and I attended Pre K orientation at school. Grace was very excited! While Mrs. Ederington (Grace's teacher) talked to the parents, Mrs. Middleton (the teacher assistant) took all the children in the hallway to color. During the middle of Mrs. Ederington's speech, I hear crying...and wouldn't you know...it's Grace. She was looking for me. Aww. Remember, it's been since the begining of June since she's been to "school"-daycare. She is used to hanging out with me when she is there. But, a sucker made everything better and all was well.

Today was the first day of school for me and Grace. We both had a wonderful day! It was so good to see all the children. Most were excited to be back, but there were a few that were a little scared and overwhelmed...you can't help it, you just want to hug them! Grace got a good report from both her teachers, well, actually all three of her teachers including her special area teacher (and no...it wasn't me today, she had computer). In the computer room there is a poster with a picture of Mount Rushmore on it. When Grace saw it she said, "Hey, that's Mount Rushmore!" Too cute! She was excited to see me when I stopped her class to pick her up this afternoon. While walking up the hallway with me, she said, "They teach-ded me everything."

Overall, it was a pretty good day for both of us.
